Hello from my hibernation cave! November made quite the entrance today in the form of a brief but dramatic snowfall. October seems to have flown right by, hasn’t it? As always it’s cause for much mourning over spooky times passed, but I do love this month for it’s particular brand of chilly, leaf fluttery, soup-simmery goodness.
Stuff happening this month!
Don’t forget that US edition of Embassy of the Dead: Hangman’s Crossing by Will Mabbitt will be hitting the shelves at the end of the month, I believe, and is available for pre-order as well from several online booksellers!
I’ll be stocking new products in my Etsy shop, including a few miniature originals and possibly some new prints (am I frantically trying to get in as much autumn art as I can before winter? PERHAPS)
Mostly this month I’ll be busy working on client art and of course the usual wow-the-holidays-are-almost-here-and-I-did-not-prepare-properly scramble I’ve become accustomed to.
So, not much out of the ordinary going on this month really! I do think for future newsletters I might attempt some topicl/discussion style posts so these don’t become too repetitive - Q&As? Craft DIYs? Endless streams of pet photos? Please let me know what sort of things you’re interested in seeing in the future!
Monthly favorites
Wild Sweetness cookbook by Thalia Ho - it’s incredibly pretty to look at and the recipes look amazing! So far I’ve made white chocolate+apricot oat biscuits and rose granola. SO SO NICE
My traditional autumn rewatch of Over the Garden Wall, of course!
Dracula by Bram Stoker - I’d never read it before strangely but it’s been so interesting and perfectly spooky.
I’ve recently acquired a wool cape to swish about in while I’m wandering about outside, it’s easily one of the best things I’ll ever own I’m sure. Cloaks absolutely need to make a comeback, we’ve been missing out on years of swooshiness. Life is short, dress like a hobbit.
I think that just about wraps thing up! I hope you all stay safe and warm, and have a happy November!
Love, Taryn
